Top 3 motocyklowe trasy w Andaluzji
Choć w Hiszpanii skosztowaliśmy masę zachwycających motocyklowych tras, tutaj dzielę się listą trzech, podczas których licznik wyartykułowanych “ohów i ahów” bił rekordy. Trudno jest mi jednak zdecydować, która z nich powinna zająć pierwsze miejsce w rankingu, dlatego zdecydowałam, że opowiem o nich wg kolejności chronologicznej naszej wyprawy do Andaluzji. Pierwszą jaką mieliśmy niesamowitą przyjemność doświadczyć była Przełęcz Velefique (Alto de Velefique) we wschodniej części Andaluzji nieopodal pustynnej Tabernas.
1. Przełęcz Alto de Velefique
“Mieszkam tu od 20 lat i dopiero teraz odkrywam tę drogę” - zdradził nam świeżo upieczony emeryt, z pochodzenia Anglik, którego poznaliśmy na malowniczym postoju Mirador del Pedregal. Przełęcz Velefique, blisko 26 km odcinek drogi AL-3102 łączącej miasteczka Velefique i Bacares, choć porównywana do słynnego Stevio Pass, jest wciąż mało znanym i mało uczęszczanym miejscem. Nie mniej, nieznaczny ruch na tej trasie powoduje, że ma się wrażenia wyłączności eksplorowania drogi, a dobra nawierzchnia, piękne widoki i liczne serpentyny wznoszące się na wysokość ponad 1800 m czynią ją wartą poznania.
Tuż przy motocyklowym raju Alto de Velefique, na najbardziej wysuniętym na wschód krańcu pustyni Tabernas znajdują się parki rozrywki Fort Bravo i Oasys Mini Hollywood. Te urządzone w stylu Dzikiego Zachodu parki były miejscem kręcenia wielu legendarnych westernowskich produkcji kinowych, takich jak „Dobry, zły i brzydki” czy „Lawrence z Arabii” - jeden z naszych ulubionych filmów, więc nie było opcji żeby przejechać obojętnie. Także tutaj kręcono “A Fistful of Dollars”, film, który uczynił aktora Clinta Eastwooda gwiazdą.
2. Przełęcz Sierra Nevada
Sierra Nevada (w dosłownym tłumaczeniu - Góry Śnieżne), to malowniczy region Hiszpanii, który przyciąga turystów z całego świata. To tutaj znajduje się najwyższy szczyt Półwyspu Iberyjskiego - Mulhacén, mierzący 3479 m n.p.m. To także miejsce, gdzie można uprawiać narciarstwo w jednym z najbardziej południowych kurortów Europy, położonym nad Morzem Śródziemnym. W Sierra Nevada można podziwiać bogactwo przyrody, od łąk i lasów na niższych wysokościach, po skaliste i surowe krajobrazy na szczytach górskich.
To właśnie tutaj zaliczyliśmy nasz rekord ‘wspinaczkowy’ z motocyklami - 2500 m n.p.m. Doświadczenie ciekawe bo na dole w pobliskiej Grenadzie 26 stopni i gorąc, a na górze zaledwie kilkanaście, rześki wiatr i kołderki śnieżne na wyciągnięcie ręki. Widoki obłędne!
3. Przełęcz Sierra de Grazalema
A już myślałam, że więcej tego nie powiem. Ale oto... nadchodzi: “TO jest najbardziej niesamowita kręta droga, jaką jechałam”. I tak, wiem, powtarzam się, ale... o rany, czy możesz mnie winić?🤷🏼♀️ Na Sierra de Grazalema endorfiny kipiały. W końcu to jeden z najpiękniejszych regionów Hiszpanii, pełen malowniczych krajobrazów, zabytkowych miasteczek, skalistych szczytów, zielonych dolin, błękitnych jezior i wyjątkowych pól oliwkowych drzewek.
Zapraszam na krótki filmik z tej wspaniałej przełęczy oraz z pobliskiej Rondy, położonej na wysokim klifie, z imponującym mostem i starówką.
Top 3 motorcycle routes in Andalusia
Although we have tasted a lot of delightful motorcycle routes in Spain, here I am sharing a list of three, during which the counter of articulated "awww and wows" broke records. However, it is difficult for me to decide which of them should take the first place in the ranking, so I decided to tell you about them in chronological order of our trip to Andalusia. The first one we had an incredible pleasure to experience was the Velefique Pass (Alto de Velefique) in the eastern part of Andalusia near the desert Tabernas.
Alto de Velefique Pass
"I've been living here for 20 years and only now I'm discovering this road" - told us a newly minted pensioner, of English descent, whom we met at the picturesque stop at Mirador del Pedregal. The Velefique Pass, a nearly 26 km section of the AL-3102 road connecting the towns of Velefique and Bacares, although compared to the famous Stevio Pass, is still a little-known and rarely visited place. Nevertheless, the slight traffic on this route gives the impression of exclusivity of exploring the road, and the good surface, beautiful views and numerous serpentines rising to a height of over 1,800 m make it worth exploring.
Just off the motorcycling paradise of Alto de Velefique, on the easternmost tip of the Tabernas Desert, are the Fort Bravo and Oasys Mini Hollywood theme parks. These Wild West-themed parks have been the setting for many legendary Western movies, such as "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" and "Lawrence of Arabia" - one of our favorite movies, so there was no way to pass by indifferently. Also here was filmed "A Fistful of Dollars", the movie that made actor Clint Eastwood a star.
Sierra Nevada Pass
Sierra Nevada (literally translated - Snowy Mountains) is a picturesque region of Spain that attracts tourists from all over the world. It is here that the highest peak of the Iberian Peninsula is located - Mulhacén, measuring 3479 m above sea level. It is also a place where you can go skiing in one of the most southern European resorts, located on the Mediterranean Sea. The Sierra Nevada has a wealth of nature, from meadows and forests at lower altitudes to rocky and rugged landscapes on the mountaintops.
It was here that we scored our 'climbing' record with motorcycles - 2500 m above sea level. An interesting experience because downstairs in nearby Grenada 26 degrees and hot, and only a dozen or so at the top, brisk wind and snow blankets at your fingertips. Insane views!
Sierra de Grazalema Pass
And I thought I wouldn't say it again. But here it comes: "THIS is the most amazing winding road I've ever driven." And yes, I know, I'm repeating myself, but... man, can you blame me?🤷🏼♀️ Endorphins were boiling on Sierra de Grazalema. After all, it is one of the most beautiful regions of Spain, full of picturesque landscapes, historic towns, rocky peaks, green valleys, blue lakes and unique fields of olive trees.
